A Good Cause / Een Goede Zaak

Goede zaak
I've been browsing paid blogging sites for something that fits in here. I only want to write paid posts about things I feel good about and support myself. Bloggerwave offered the perfect opportunity: free, easy and for good causes! I explored the Dutch site (logo on top of this post), but I know a lot of my readers are from abroad, so I included all the national sites at the end.

aGoodCause.com is a global partnership between 700 of the worlds most important non-governmental organizations - charities like Save the Children, Red Cross, Amnesty International, OXFAM and many others. Together they want to make the world better, when it comes to animal welfare, human rights, fighting poverty and climate changes etc. And they do this by enabling online shoppers all over the world to support their favourite charity, when they shop online (in more than 5000 online stores!).

Users just have to download a small piece of software called AidMaker. Afterwards, everything works automatically, and your computer is turned into a charitable tool. After having downloaded AidMaker, you can support your favourite charity for free while you are shopping. You pay the normal store price for your product but the retailer donates part of the purchase to the cause you have decided to support. 75 percent of the total purchase price will then go to charity.
Good cause aGoodCause has just launched globally- in 8 countries:
Nederland: EenGoedeZaak.nl
United Kingdom: aGoodCause.co.uk
Danmark: enGodSak.dk
USA: aGoodCause.com
Deutschland: EineGuteSache.de
France: UneBonneCause.fr
Italia: UnaBuonaCausa.it
Sverige: enGodSak.se

What do you say? Let's go shopping!!! :-)

Bloggerwave

Some time ago I was randomly reading blogs I didn't know (yet), when I stumbled upon a new way to make money with my blog. One of the blogs I visited had posted a sponsored post labelled "Bloggerwave". I got curious and clicked on the link. I liked what I saw and decided to sign up. Bloggerwave is aiming to be Europe’s biggest advertising media on blogs. As you know I'm based in Europe, so I like to support a European effort in this field!

Today I got the e-mail that my blog has been approved. This is my first post for Bloggerwave. Don't be afraid to be bombarded with sponsored posts. I blog because I like to share my thoughts and experiences, not to make money. I will only add a sponsored post now and then. The subject has to be something that suits my blog and something that I like myself. 'Honestly all the way' is an important issue to the people at Bloggerwave and I couldn't agree more! It's just a fun way to save up for something extra or special.

Romance

To choose my most romantic experience isn't easy. There are so many... To make a choice I'll share the story of a very special night long time ago. At the time I was volunteering in a clubhouse/discotheque. I worked in the cloakroom, collected empty glasses and helped behind the bar. My free time I spent next to the DJ corner, especially when my favourite DJ was there... I had fallen in love with him instantly, but never told him. We talked about a lot of things, sometimes flirty, sometimes about serious matters, always interesting. We just had that click together. That evening I felt the tension mounting. We danced a few times. My heart was working overtime, I felt flirty and shy at the same time. After closing time the volunteers stayed to clean and have a drink together. One by one everyone disappeared. There were only a few people left when I went to the bathroom. When I came back the lights were dimmed, slow music was playing and we were alone. I stood at the doorstep and hesitated. He walked towards me and looked me in the eyes. My knees were trembling. He smiled, took me by the hand and led me to the dance-floor. We danced closely together. His breath warmed my neck, singing softly in my ear. The feeling of his body against mine felt so good, so right. We danced for minutes, hours... I couldn't tell, I lost track of time. Exasperatingly slow our heads moved towards each other and our lips touched. I had kissed before but never like that. We caressed each other. He looked at me and asked me without words. I answered willingly and we left the dance-floor hand in hand. He laid me down very carefully and I made love for the first time. It was beautiful, he was very gentle. We were so good together. Afterwards he walked me to my (parents') home, close together in the dark and quiet night. A wonderful experience that I'll cherish forever...

Romance is important to me in a relationship. It is the icing on the cake! It doesn't have to be big and impressive; the little things count. Romance has to do with care and attention, the feeling of being loved. An unexpected little present or gesture "just because I love you" always speaks to my heart... A note saying "I miss you already" in my suitcase... I have nothing to complain with Ron, he's my romantic hero! A candlelight dinner for just the two of us may be cliché, but that's because it is so romantic! The same goes for a walk on the beach during sunset or sunrise.

When I'm in the mood I love romantic movies like Ghost or Pretty Woman. I read literature, non-fiction, in fact everything with letters! ;-) From time to time I want to relax with romance novels. The link leads you to a wide variety of romance novels in many genres, really worth checking out! I especially like historical and supernatural themes or a combination of both. There has to be more to it than boy-meets-girl and other predictable stuff. I like a good plot, a real story. The blogosphere broadened my horizon too, I've met some great romantic writers. They've written enough to keep me busy for quite some time!

I signed up for PPP

PayPerPostYou may have noticed the buttons on the bottom of my sidebar, they are from PayPerPost, an incredible self-service marketplace that allows you to get paid to blog about the products, services and websites you love. I joined some time ago.

I have decided only to take opportunities (sponsored posts to write), that I like or use myself. I don't want to recommend something I haven't tried and approved just for money. Of course the goal is to get paid for posts, but they have to fit in my blog and match my principles and values. If that means I'll earn less, that's okay. I don't think my readers are waiting for plain advertsing here and that's not my intention at all. I will just add a sponsored post now and then. The money I'll set aside for something extra or special.

This week I discovered two great blogs through PPP. I visited them, liked them and added them to my GoogleReader. In that case I'm okay with writing a post about it. I cherish my integrity and I will always be sincere. You can count on that.

Having said all that I must say I like PPP very much. Companies, services, businesses... they all like to use this friendly way of blog advertising. It's easy to do and the choice of opportunities I want to take is all mine. I search through a list of opportunities, make a blog post, get the content approved, and get paid. It's that simple!

In case you were wondering... yes, this post is
