Sarcoidosis?

Ron and I spent the whole afternoon in the hospital. The internist suspects I have sarcoidosis, a complex multisystem autoimmune disease which can affect the lungs, skin, joints, eyes, brain, and other soft tissue organs in the form of multiple inflammations. At this time, there is no known cure for sarcoidosis. Hooray....
I have to visit more specialists and do more tests a.s.a.p. and at the end of next week I get the "verdict". For now I have Diclofenac against the pain and inflammations, and another medicine to prevent stomach problems.

  2. hi Tink - well at least hopefully there's some consolation in their knowing what it is - hope the remaining tests go well and as painlessly as possible... keep us all posted, meanwhile sending lots of comfort vibes.

  4. Can't say I've ever heard of sarcoidosis. Even if there is no cure, hopefully they have some form of pain relief for you, and that will allow you to live normally and comfortably again.
Sending you hugs and best wishes.

  5. Thank you all! The Diclofenac does its work very good.
I had never heard of sarcoidosis before either. It's not a rare disease, but very unknown it seems.

  9. Well as you know I've heard of it.... unfortunately. I'm glad the Diclofenac works for you! Please think really hard before you start on Prednisolon may they ever suggest that. Been there, done that and trust me whenever there's another way, avoid the Prednisolon!!

    Take care now.

    Knuffels,
    Nathalie
